Low Force - the river was really high after all of the recent heavy rain
Another view of Low Force, this one from the Wynch Bridge
Heading upstream towards High Force
It's only when the river is in spate like this that huge tree's are picked up by the current and moved downstream
High Force in full flood, a magnificent sight, its only when the river is very high that the water comes over the right hand side
A close up shot of High Force
I also took a couple of short video clips so that you can see the power of the water for yourself,
in some circumstances, and especially this one, a still photo doesn't
portray the whole image, the sound of water crashing over the falls was
almost deafening.
The first clip is of Low Force and the second one is of
High Force, I've reduced the quality of the video so that the file sizes are reasonable for downloading.
