The route map of our walk
The Black Bull and Church Beck in the centre of Coniston village
From the car park we headed up the lane past the Sun Hotel, and then took the path behind it
Waterfalls in Church Beck just below the Miners Bridge
Some smaller waterfalls, these are above the bridge
Coppermine valley from the path leading up to Hole Rake
As we reached Hole Rake the cloud had descended and it was raining!
One of the many old quarries around Tilberthwaite
Looking back up into Tilberthwaite Gill
Looking up to the summit of Holme Fell from the road in the Tilberthwaite valley
Yewdale Beck and the Shepherds Bridge at the end of the valley
I think Tim was having a bad 'fur' day!
Yew Tree Farm, there weren't any people in the tea garden today
Looking back into the Tilberthwaite valley from the path through Tarn Hows Wood
Tim leading the way through Tarn Hows Wood
The sun did make a few brief appearances during the day
Walking along Yewdale Beck towards Low Yewdale farm
Yewdale Crags from the track between Low Yewdale and Boon Crag farm
The autumnal colours were lovely as we walked along the track
Tim thought he was wet enough and gave his swim a miss today
Waterhead at Coniston
Another view of Coniston Water
And eventually back to Coniston village
