A misty view of the Grinton youth hostel at the start of the walk
Everywhere we looked the heather was covered in these spiders web's, they were lovely with the dew still clinging to them
As we left the road and started up onto Harkerside Hill the mist descended
Sheena waiting to cross Grovebeck Gill
The remains of the old earthworks on Harkerside Hill
The mist had started to lift a little as we traversed across the slopes of Blue Hill
On Green Hill End looking up Swaledale towards Great Shunner Fell, somewhere in the mist!
Looking back along our route over Whitaside Moor
Looking down into Apedale from Apedale Head
Dent Houses at the end of Apedale where we climbed back over into neighbouring Swaledale
On the summit of Greets Hill, looking over into Swaledale
The mist had lifted enough at the end of the walk so we could look across to Reeth village
Harkerside Hill, now clear of mist, seen as we walked back down to the car, typical!
