The route map of our walk
The 'old' Sligachan bridge with Sgurr nan Gillean, Am Basteir and Sgurr a Bhasteir behind
Another view of Sgurr nan Gillean (left), Am Basteir (centre) and Sgurr a Bhasteir (right)
A close up on Am Basteir, there is still a bit of snow left in the corrie
Looking back on The Sligachan Hotel, the 'old' and 'new' bridges with the camp site behind
Heading into Glen Sligachan, we were aiming for the small peak in the far distance, where we hoped to get a view of the Cullin Ridge
Another view of Sgurr nan Gillean
Lochan Dubha with the rocky Cullin Ridge (well part of) behind
Getting closer, just the final pull up onto the ridge to go
Looking back to Sgurr na h_Uamha (left) and Sgurr nan Gillean
Blabheinn and Loch na Creitheach
Looking across to Ruadh Stac (left) and Garbh-bheinn (right), these are part of the 'Red' Cullin's
Sheena and Tim approaching the top of the ridge, and our lunch stop, and hopefully a spectacular view of the Cullin Ridge!
We weren't disappointed, the view was breath taking, we couldn't have picked a better day to visit!
Me and Tim on Drum Hain with Sgurr nan Gillean behind us
Marsco (left) and Ruadh Stac (right) seen as we started on the descent back into the glen
Another view of Blabheinn and Loch na Creitheach, this one is loads clearer as the sun wasn't shining directly into the camera this time!
Back to Lochan Dubha, we noticed, this time, the 'Inaccessible Pinnacle' on the skyline which me missed the first time
Zooming in on the Inaccessible Pinnacle, it requires climbing gear and ropes to make the top!
We saw this 'dragon fly' will we stopped for our afternoon coffee, it was really struggling in the gusty wind blowing down the glen
Looking back at Marsco as we headed across the final bit of glen and a pint at the hotel!
