We had intended to meet up with friends to do a walk at Buckden, but Sheena had injured her back again. so rather than not doing anything we hatched a plan to go over to Buckden really early for a short walk and then meet up with our friends for a coffee before they set off on their walk. On our way home we stopped off at the lovely Aysgarth Falls for a really nice picnic lunch beside the falls. All in all it turned out to be a really great day out in the Yorkshire Dales.

The car park was very quite, not surprising it was still really early, and bloody cold, despite the bright early morning sun!

A view of the lovely Wharfedale valley, a must for anyone visiting the Yorkshire Dales, IMHO second only to Swaledale?

Not sure if it was the 'volcanic ash' but there were faint dark bands in the sky, not what I would normally expect to see?
