Hamsterley Forest is fairly close to where we live, only about 30 mins drive away. It's a great place to have a wander and stretch our legs, Tim really loves going there, especially as there plenty of things for him to sniff out. There's loads of parking areas along the forest drive, but we usually head for The Grove, once away from there we hardly see a sole, just a few MTB's.

Our normal route is over Kings Crag, but this is a working forest and that route is out of bounds today, so we walked along the Euden Beck valley today instead, both are lovely routes and end up in the same place
